How do I properly load knives and silverware in the dishwasher?

Load fork and knife handles up to protect your hands, and place spoons in the basket with handles down. Mix knives, forks, and spoons together so they do not nest, and distribute them evenly. Small plastic items such as measuring spoons and small container lids should go in the bottom of the silverware basket with silverware placed on top. (Page 15)
