Why won't my cooktop burner stay lit when I release the knob?

The most likely cause is that the knob was not pushed in completely or was not held long enough. Push the knob completely in, hold it for a minimum of 3–5 seconds, and make sure the igniters are clean and dry. Also verify that the burner cap is correctly positioned and that there is adequate gas pressure. (Page 31)
