How do I properly load and use my GE top load washer?

Load dry items loosely, no higher than the top row of holes in the washer tub. When loading wet items, ensure the water level is high enough to allow items to move freely—water should just cover the clothes. Always add detergent before loading clothes so it can work effectively. To add items after the washer has started, push in the Cycle Dial and submerge additional items next to the agitator, then pull the Cycle Dial out to restart. (Page 9-10)
