How do I program my GE Universal Remote using direct code entry?

First, locate your device's code in the code list and turn on the device manually. Press and hold SETUP until the red indicator stays on (about 4 seconds), then release. Press your desired device button (TV, DVD, etc.), then enter the 4-digit code using the number buttons. If accepted, the red indicator turns off. If rejected, it flashes—try the next code until the device powers off when you press POWER.
