Why are there lint or residue deposits on my clothes after washing?

Common causes include washing too long, detergent not dissolving properly, or overloading the washer. To fix this, add detergent as the wash basket fills with water before loading clothes, try a liquid detergent or warmer water temperature, and make sure the load size selector matches the actual clothes load size. Also separate lint producers from lint collectors when sorting laundry. (Page 9)
