How do I clean and maintain the Graco car seat?

Clean metal and plastic parts with mild soap and cool water—no bleach or detergents. Spot clean the harness straps and LATCH straps; do not immerse them in water as this weakens the straps. Clean the buckle and harness adjuster with a damp cloth and never lubricate the buckle. If the buckle sticks, remove foreign objects with tweezers or a cotton swab. The seat cover can be cleaned with a damp sponge using mild soap and cool water, and can be removed for machine washing in cold water on delicate cycle. (Pages 35-36)
