How do I properly install the car seat using LATCH straps in forward-facing mode?

Review your vehicle’s owner manual for specific instructions and avoid installing for children over 40 lbs. Follow these steps: Remove LATCH strap from storage, route it through the forward-facing belt path marked with an orange label. Extend the LATCH strap to its maximum length by pressing the grey button and pulling on the strap. Attach LATCH connectors to vehicle’s lower LATCH anchors without twisting. Tighten the strap by pressing down firmly in the center of the car seat while tightening through the slit at the belt path if needed. Test for tightness, ensure the seat moves less than 1” (2.5 cm) side-to-side and front-to-back.
