What should I do if the Graco Slim Fit swing won't operate?

Check if there are no batteries in the swing, the batteries are dead, or the speed setting is too low. Verify that batteries are inserted correctly with proper polarity (check "+" and "-" markings). If there is corrosion on battery terminals, rotate the batteries against the terminals or clean with sandpaper or steel wool. Other causes may include the baby leaning too far forward, the baby grabbing swing legs, the seat not being pushed high enough, or the protective device being activated.
