What should I do if my Universal Remote Control does not work at all?

First, check that your A/V device's main switch is turned on, as the remote cannot operate a device that is fully switched off. Also verify that the batteries are inserted with the correct +/- polarity, that you have pressed the correct device mode key, and replace the batteries if they are low. (Page 8)
