How should I prepare the slow cooker before using it for the first time?
Before first use, wash the lid and crock in hot, soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly. Then wipe the base with a soft, damp cloth to remove any dust particles. Do not immerse the base, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
