Why doesn't my Hamilton Beach Slow Cooker get hot while cooking?

Ensure the lid is correctly placed and check if the food was cooked based on Low setting but time for High settings. Check voltage stability issues or altitude which can cause variations in power usage leading to extended cooking times (Page 8).
