How often should I perform maintenance on the fan?

At least twice each year, lower the motor housing to check the motor assembly and tighten all screws on the fan. Clean the motor housing with only a soft brush or lint-free cloth, and clean the blades with a lint-free cloth. Never use water or a damp cloth to clean the ceiling fan.
