Why is my air conditioner not turning on immediately after I change the cooling temperature setting?

The CT3355 has a built-in time delay on cooling; you should allow five to ten minutes after changing the setting before the air conditioner starts. This delay is a built-in protection feature for the compressor. Additionally, do not operate the cooling system when the outside temperature is below 50°F (10°C) to avoid possible compressor damage.
