How do I know if my current thermostat system is compatible with the RTH5160?

You must check for 120/240V thick black wires with wire nuts, as line voltage systems are not compatible with the RTH5160. If you have these features, the thermostat will not work with your system. Visit yourhome.honeywell.com/support if you have wires in terminals not listed in the manual.
