What is covered under the TH3000 thermostat warranty and how long does it last?

Honeywell provides a 5-year limited warranty covering defects in workmanship or materials under normal use and service, starting from the date of consumer purchase. The warranty does not cover the battery, nor does it cover removal or reinstallation costs.
