What is the compressor protection feature and how does it work?

The built-in compressor protection feature prevents damage to the compressor by forcing it to wait 5 minutes before restarting after shutdown. During this wait time, the display will flash 'Cool On' or 'Heat On,' and when the safe restart time has elapsed, the message stops flashing and the compressor turns on.
