When should I replace the batteries in my TH3000 thermostat?

Install fresh batteries when the 'REPLACE BATT' warning begins flashing on the display. This warning flashes approximately two months before the batteries are fully depleted, so you have time to act. It is also recommended to replace batteries once a year or before leaving home for more than a month. (Page 9)
