How does the Energy Savings Mode function and when is it activated?
Energy Savings Mode is activated by shorting the DI (Digital Input) terminal using a potential-free dry contact such as a hotel key card holder or button press. When activated, the setpoint automatically changes to the preset Cool or Heat energy-saving temperature. The mode exits when the DI terminal opens, and the thermostat returns to user-controlled temperature settings. (Page 5)
