How do I access the internal components of the POD to install the Modbus board?

First, use a 2mm hex key to unscrew and remove the cover, then carefully slide the POD from the XNX housing. Place the POD face down on a flat surface to protect the LCD screen, then unscrew and lift off the back cover to access the internal components. (Page 1 — Option Board Installation)
