How do I clean the pump on the Wdal 8640?

The washer-dryer is fitted with a self-cleaning pump that does not require regular maintenance, but small items such as coins or buttons may fall into the pre-chamber. To clean it, make sure the wash cycle has finished and unplug the appliance, then remove the cover panel on the lower front part using a screwdriver, unscrew the lid anti-clockwise, clean the inside thoroughly, and refit the lid and panel.
