To replace a damaged Bottom Cover, start by preparing for disassembly as specified on page 28 of your user manual. This includes safely removing the optical drive (page 29), disconnecting the internal battery system (see Battery section at page 34) and any connected memory if necessary. Then take off the existing bottom cover by peeling off rubber feet, unfastening 10 screws securing it to the base of your laptop (refer detailed procedure outlined on pages 32-35), finally lifting the middle part up removing it from computer frame.
