How do I install the printer software on a Windows PC?
For Windows (except Windows 8, 8.1, or RT), do not connect the USB cable before installing the software. You can install the software by downloading it from 123.hp.com/laserjet, from www.hp.com/support/colorljMFPM277, or by inserting the printer CD. When prompted during installation, select either the USB or network connection option as appropriate. (Pages 7–8)
