What does HP do if my printer has a defect covered under warranty?
If HP receives notice of a defect in a product covered by its warranty during the applicable warranty period, HP will either repair or replace the product at HP's option. If HP is unable to repair or replace the defective product, it will refund the purchase price within a reasonable time after being notified of the defect. (Page 2)
