Is Wi-Fi Direct secure on the HP Envy 5000, and how can I make it more secure?

By default, Wi-Fi Direct is set to 'Automatic' mode without an administrator password, meaning anyone in wireless range can connect and access all printer functions. HP recommends changing the Wi-Fi Direct connection method from 'Automatic' to 'Manual' and setting an administrator password if higher security is desired.
