How do I set up fax on the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus?

Connect one end of the phone cord (provided in the box) to your telephone wall jack and the other end to the port labeled 1-LINE on the back of the printer. If you use a DSL/ADSL service, you must also connect a DSL/ADSL filter between the wall jack and the printer. HP recommends using only the phone cord provided with the printer, as other cords may prevent successful faxing. (Page 10)
