How should I adjust the door tension if the dishwasher door closes too quickly or falls open on its own?
To adjust door spring tension, unhook the spring from the rear leg and use a 5/16" nut driver or hex socket to remove the screw from the tensioner, which can be placed in one of three holes (1, 2, 3) in the front leg. If the door closes by itself, move the tensioner to a higher-numbered hole; if the door falls open on its own, move the tensioner to a lower-numbered hole. Note that tensioners on both sides of the dishwasher must be secured at the same holes.
