How do I properly use the dual radiant surface element on the Kenmore 790?

For smaller pans, push in and turn the control knob counterclockwise; for larger pans, turn it clockwise. Start cooking on a higher setting and then reduce heat to finish cooking, and always turn off the control knob before removing cookware. The Surface Indicator light will remain on until the glass cooktop has cooled down to a moderate temperature. (Page 2)
