What are the clearance requirements for installing the dryer?

Most installations require a minimum 5½ inches (14 cm) clearance behind the dryer for exhaust ducting, and at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) on the sides and back to minimize vibration and noise. At least 21 inches (53.3 cm) of clearance is needed in front of the dryer to open the door. For garage installations, the dryer must be placed at least 18 inches above the floor. (Page 8)
