How do I properly load knives and silverware to avoid injury?

Load fork and knife handles up in the removable silverware basket to protect your hands. Place spoons in the basket with handles down, and mix knives, forks, and spoons so they don't nest together. Small plastic items such as measuring spoons and small lids should go in the bottom of the silverware basket with silverware placed on top. (Page 15)
