Remove packing tape, plug in the coffee maker, and place a large mug (296 ml/10 oz minimum) on the drip tray. Fill the water reservoir to the MAX FILL line with fresh water (do not use distilled water), then lift and lower the handle without inserting a K-Cup pod — the coffee maker will power on automatically.
