What are the steps to set up my K-Slim Coffee Maker for the first time?

First, remove packing tape and plug the coffee maker into a grounded outlet. Then rinse the water reservoir and fill it to the MAX FILL line with fresh water (do not use distilled water). Lift and lower the handle without inserting a K-Cup pod, then press the 8oz button and the blinking brew button to run a cleansing brew. Pour the hot water into the sink, and your one-time setup is complete. (Page 2)
