What should I do if my mixer runs only on high speed and won't operate at lower speeds?

The most likely causes are an unhooked control plate spring, a shorted phase control, or incorrect wiring. Remove the end cover and check that the control plate spring is properly attached to the bottom of the control plate; if the phase control is suspected, it should be tested and replaced if defective.
