What should I do with my refrigerator during a power outage?

If the power outage lasts 24 hours or less, keep both doors closed to retain cold air and preserve food. If the outage lasts more than 24 hours, either transfer frozen food to another freezer or place 2 lbs of dry ice per cubic foot of freezer space, which will keep food frozen for 2 to 4 days. Always wear gloves when handling dry ice to protect against burns. (Page 18)
