What is the proper way to level the refrigerator doors?

There are two methods depending on adjustment needs. Type 1 uses a flat blade screwdriver in leveling leg grooves rotated clockwise. Type 2 uses a 3/4" wrench to loosen the keeper nut, a 5/16" wrench to adjust the hinge pin clockwise or counterclockwise, then tighten the keeper nut. The adjustable range for height is a maximum of 1/2 inch. Do not over-tighten as the hinge pin can be pulled out.
