What should I use to clean the exterior of my washing machine?

The outside of the machine can be cleaned with warm water and a neutral non-abrasive household detergent. Immediately wipe off any spills with a damp cloth and try not to hit the surface with sharp objects. Do not use methylated spirits, diluents or similar products as they can damage the finish.
