What do I need to do before assembling the adjustable base?

Remove the top of the shipping carton and check all contents for damage before beginning assembly. Two adults are required to safely move and handle the adjustable base due to risk of injury. Cut the zip-ties from the electrical power supply and mattress retainer, then carefully lift the head section out of the carton and place it on a clean surface.
