How do I clean and maintain the dishwasher interior?

The dishwasher interior is normally self-cleaning, but you should periodically check the bottom of the tub for large particles and wipe the edge of the inner door liner to remove food soil splashes. For tomato-based staining, remove excess tomato-based food soils before loading, run the Heavy Wash cycle, and use a chlorine-based detergent. For light staining on the interior, leaving the door open can help oxidize the stain away. (Page 8)
