What water temperature should I use for optimal dishwashing results?
The incoming water temperature should be 120°F (49°C) to properly activate the detergent and melt greasy food soils. You can check the temperature by turning on the hot water faucet nearest the dishwasher, running water into a glass, and placing a candy thermometer in the glass once the temperature has stopped rising.
