How do I clean the lint screen, and how often should I do it?

Clean the lint screen before every load by pulling it straight up and rolling lint off with your fingers. Do not rinse or wash the screen to remove lint, as wet lint is hard to remove. Additionally, clean the lint screen with a nylon brush every 6 months to remove detergent and fabric softener residue buildup that can cause longer drying times. (Page 13)
