How do I add a forgotten item after the dishwasher cycle has already started?

Press the Delay/Resume pad or unlatch the door, then wait for the water circulation to stop before opening the door to add the item. Close and latch the door, and if Delay/Resume was pressed, press it again to restart. After five seconds, the cycle resumes automatically at the point of interruption.
