What is the Sanitize option and how does it work?

The Sanitize option raises the water temperature in the final rinse to approximately 154°F (68°C), sanitizing dishes and glassware in accordance with NSF/ANSI Standard 184 for Residential Dishwashers. It adds 30 minutes to the cycle and can be used with the Jet Clean Plus Steam, Normal, and Auto Clean cycles. If the sanitized light flashes at the end of the cycle, the load was not sanitized — this can happen if the cycle was interrupted or the water could not reach the required temperature. (Pages 6–7)
