What should I do if my washer is vibrating excessively or is off-balance?

Check that all four feet are in firm contact with the floor and that the washer is level. An unbalanced load is also a common cause — load garments in loose heaps evenly around the washplate, avoid washing single items, and wash smaller loads to reduce imbalance. If the floor is uneven, placing a 3/4" (19 mm) piece of plywood under the washer can help reduce vibration and noise. (Page 12)
