Wearers of pacemakers and other implanted medical devices should keep away from the welding operation. Implanted medical device wearers must consult their doctor and the device manufacturer before going near arc welding, spot welding, gouging, plasma arc cutting, or induction heating operations. If cleared by a doctor, following the EMF minimization procedures outlined in the manual is recommended. (Page 12)
