Unplug the unit from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow it to cool completely before putting on or taking off parts. Wash the drawers and crisper plates in hot, soapy water and dry thoroughly; hand-washing is recommended to extend their life. Never clean the main unit in the dishwasher or immerse it in water.
