What should I do if the snow discharge chute becomes clogged?

Stop the engine immediately and wait for all rotating parts to come to a complete stop before attempting to clear the clog. Use the supplied clean-out tool — which is fastened to the top of the auger housing with a mounting clip — to clear the obstruction. Never use your hands to clear a clogged chute, as contact with rotating parts can cause amputation. After unclogging, wipe the tool clean and place it back in its holder. (Page 18)
