Why is my appliance emitting white smoke?

White smoke is typically caused by oil being used or remnants of fat on the accessory parts from previous cooking. Wipe the excess oil off and clean the revolving basket after each use. During first-time use, some smoking is entirely normal and does not represent a defect.
