Is it safe for children to use this breadmaker?

Children aged 8 years and above can use this appliance if they have been supervised and instructed, and understand the hazards involved. Children under 8 must not play with the appliance, and it should be kept out of their reach. Cleaning and maintenance by children is only permitted if they are older than 8 and supervised (Page 3).
