Why is my washing machine making loud noises and vibrating excessively during the spin cycle?

Excessive noise and vibration during spinning are usually caused by unevenly distributed laundry — redistribute the clothes evenly and restart. Also check that the machine is balanced and level on a flat, sturdy surface and that the leveling feet are not loose; adjust them as needed. (Page 26)
