How much clearance space is needed above and below the range?
A minimum clearance of 30 inches from the top of the cooking surface to the bottom of an unprotected wood or metal cabinet, or 24 inches if protected by flame-retardant millboard. Between countertop and adjacent cabinet bottom: a minimum distance of 15 inches.
