What type of detergent should I use to avoid excessive suds?
Use high efficiency (HE) detergent to prevent oversudsing and do not use non-HE detergent. Reduce the detergent amount for soft water, small loads, or lightly soiled loads. Using the recommended types and amounts of detergent will help avoid excessive suds. (Page 19)
